It’s a New Year…let’s bring it in right!

Since I got a personal plea from my blog, I figured that I should update it.

Dear Kristen,
This is your blog, please update me. I have been all alone for almost a month. I'm feeling very abandoned. I'm also a little dissapointed that you could update your myspace page, but not me. I've never played favorites with all my other bloggers and I'd appreciate if you could afford me that same level of respect.
Love,
your blog

I just got back from being home for 2 weeks! Time flew by and I barely remember everything that I got to do. I’ll try to piece it together.

Dec 22 Friday

10 hour plane ride then straight to L.A to go out with Berna and Shayla. We stayed at the Bonaventure which is featured in Usher’s video, “You Don’t Have to Call.” The hotel was soo nice and we even got a suite on the 27th floor. There is also a bar on top called “Top of the World” that spins around the building giving a full view of the city. For a minute I forgot that I was back in the U.S because the bar has a Japanese theme and the waitresses all greeted you in Japanese. After hanging out and catching up with Berna, we got ready to go out, met up with Shayla and then to Level 3 and White Lotus.

Dec23-Dec24
Hanging out with friends and family in the Nard.

shopping and hanging out with Jaclyn and her fiancé, Bo, before she left back to St. Louis. Including a honkey tonk bar, Clubhouse, The Drink, shopping, running errands and watching Bernie Mac @ 2 a.m.

J's eyes look more slanted than mine

Dec. 28th
Out to dinner with my second family, The FitzGerald Family. Chinese food ...yum! Filled with oiishi food/sarcasm and good stories. The best one, I have to share it: This girl was going to miss a track meet because her family visits her grandfather's gravesite once a year on this date. She goes up to Fitzus to tell him that she is going to miss this BIG meet and his reply is: "Why do you have to go see him that day, it's not like he is going anywhere?!?"He is the only man who can make me cry and tell me to get my head out of my ass and I still continue to love him!

Dec.30th
Manhattan Beach
to hang out with Shannon, Adam, Chris, and Donelle. V.I.P @ the Sky Bar and we even had our own driver. This club was so nice complete with a view of Hollywood and beds to lounge on. I actually had a guy come up to me and ask, “Can I buy you a drink and some boobs?” Only in L.A. do people offer plastic surgery along with a cocktail. I think I should have been insulted by his raunchy line but I thought it was hilarious. We were definitely living large this weekend and Sunday had box suite tickets to the Clipper’s game. It was a lot of fun and I met some cool new people.

Me and Donelle @ the Clippers Game
We ended up moving down because these seats were closer and I felt dizzy in the other ones
Dec.31st NEW YEARS EVE!
Went to Chino Hills, met up with Marques who drove in from Vegas around 7. Chilled and brought in the New Year in my CAR driving around lost! Not the best start, but it got a lot better once we found the party…partied well into the next day and then drove back to Oxnard for New Year’s day to spend it with the fam.

Dec.4-Dec. 6th SLO life!
Drove up to San Luis Obispo to see my girls before I had to go back to Japan. Ate at all the hot spots: Flamebay, Firestones, Splash Café, Breakfast Buzz, Taco Bell @ 2a.m just like old times. The only place I missed was AppleFarm but we couldn’t bring ourselves to wake up before they stopped serving breakfast @ 10. We threw a surprise party for Lindsey’s b-day and all went to DTB! I don’t remember it being so fun there when I went to school but we had such a good time! Everyone came out that I wanted to see (except Steph and Andy) so it was sooo comforting to have everyone together again, it felt like I had never left.

The only guy who listens to me for hours without complaining

Dec.7th- LAX.

11 hour flight back to Japan then another hour on the Narita Express to the Bullet Train station, then another 2 hour Shinakansen ride. Imagine me with 2 huge suitcases trying to navigate my way through a train station that has over a million people in it, still half asleep and not really caring who’s foot I ran over. Luckily, the place I wanted to go was only a mile away from where I was and up stairs for 3 stories! To top it off the last train broke down an hour away from my town and didn’t even have the courtesy to break down at a station so I could get off and walk around so instead we were cooped up for 2 hours while they tried to fix it. I was about to go crazy when the train started moving again. I was greeted by snow and 2 degree weather getting off the train, cursing: I hailed a cab. I got back to my apt around 11 tired and a little off my rocker, only to throw my suitcases in a corner and fall straight into bed and up @ 6 to go BACK TO WORK!
